‘Pillow Talk’ by Jamila Main
Jamila and their incredible creative team ended their 10 week Warehouse Residency at Arts House with a gorgeous showing of their work in progress, Pillow Talk on May 14th.
A love letter to queer, disabled intimacy and pain, Pillow Talk is a sapphic love story told through poetry, performance, sound and digital art. On stage as The Lover, Jamila takes the audience on an exquisitely painful narrative journey, in the same bed where disabled bodies rest, flare, and recover.
Although it is nap time for Pillow Talk for now, we are already in conversation about the next steps towards a fully realised performance work.
